Yay! I saw that on Etsy and got very excited for you!
Just curious, does Etsy ever contact you when they choose your things to feature on thier front page? I've always wondered and have (of course) never found myself in a position to know.

Nope, Etsy admin don't contact you (as far as I know). If you keep an eye on your stuff you can usually tell that it's been featured somewhere because the views & hearts go way up. Also, if you use the heart-o-matic on craftcult.com they have a "featured" section that tells you if your stuff is being featured anywhere. That's how I knew my item had been on the fp and in a gift guide. :)
